An exciting week in Edinburgh

This year´s seventh graders spent a week in Edinburgh, Scotland´s capital city, from April 17th to April 24th.

We had an exciting trip, visiting some of the landmarks of the city, like the old impressive Edinburgh Castle, which is still used for military purposes. Some of us climbed Arthur´s Seat with the teachers. Up there you have a spectacular view of the city and the sea.

On Friday night our group enjoyed the Scottish dancing at the Ceilidh. It was so much fun! On Saturday on our day trip we had a chance to enjoy the Scottish countryside, while walking to the Hermitage waterfalls, which are already part of the Scottish Highlands. On our way back to Edinburgh we also visited the famous University town of St. Andrews, where we enjoyed the beach. The weather was not Scottish at all – sunshine and no rain.

Edinburgh is a wonderful city and worth a visit.
